Anna Norton, 29 October, 1760- 31 August,1816

One of three original investors who purchased Hudson Township from the Connecticut Land Company, David Hudson is considered the town founder.

For besides the purchase, the enterprising young Hudson is the one who put together a group of seven in 1799 to see exactly what sort of land they'd got.
The following year he returned to Goshen and brought back settlers--including his wife, Anna, who gave birth to her eighth child soon after arriving.

The Hudson family lived in a cabin at what is now the corner of North Main & Baldwin Street; build a second cabin; then finally settled in the house at 318 North Main.

David Hudson also was the major force in founding Hudson's Congregational Church and Western Reserve College.
