baldwin family

The Baldwin family has several members in Old Township.

Of special note are Harvey Baldwin and Anner Marie Hudson Baldwin, his wife.

Their graves are actually behind the wrought iron enclosure, in a line with our town's founder, Anner's father.

Harvey (17 Sep 1798-12 Jun 1880) came to Hudson in 1814 and worked in his brothers' store. He took a prominent role in Hudson business & educational matters, especially after the death of his father in law.

Anner (28 Oct 1800-25 Apr 1892) was the eighth child of David & Anna Hudson. She was the first settler's child born in this region of the Western Reserve.
